How to test is a graph is a quine:
After you select a graph...
Click on "change" to select for "older is first". This will force the rewrites on oldest nodes and links (excepting the "COMB" rewrites).
Use rewrites weights slider to privilege the rewrites which grow the no. of nodes, or those which decrease the no. of nodes.
Click on "start" to apply rewrites as long as there is any possible rewrite left.
Click on "stop" to stop.
Click on "reload" to reload the same graph.
The graph is a quine if the number of nodes oscilates around a value.
Use gravity slider to expand or contract the graph.
